Tour around Himachal Pradesh

Hi Friends,
As i wrote one of my previous post, i'm planning to tour with my wife around Himachal Pradesh: Shimla > Kalpa > Kaza > Keylang > Manali.

Is this possible on October 20 and onwards?

your advises will help me to set up my itinerary.

Thanks all.

Rohtang and Kunzum would be the trouble spots, apart from them, there shouldn't be any issue

Thanks guys for your reply.

If the Kunzum Pass stay closed, we will have to reverse our journey from Kaza to Shimla.

do i need to advance our journey date? because I dont want to take any chance.

Is September be a safe time to travel Kunzum and Rohtang?

And dear de.math - can you let me know your itinerary.

Thanks

Day 12 of your Plans seems to be changed a little, y u want to come back to Kalpa after visit Nako the same day. U can reconsider the same

Also in case ur not planning to visit places around kyelong, then u can stay at Koksar rather than going to kyelong & then gain coming back to the same route to go to Manali

Renuka wildlife accom? Do you mean the FRH of Forest Dept?

There is a nice HPTDC hotel overlooking the lake.

You can book it thru concerned DFO for the area. I don't know whether that is Nahan or at Renuka itself. I also don't know whether they'll accept bookings by fone.

Send a message via Yahoo to Kando
Hello Prat, I just started planning my trip to HP. I am arriving in Delhi on Oct 20. Plan to start from Shimla on Oct 23. Could you share your trip plan? Do you have any info on the HPTDC Home Stay programs-- are they safe and reliable?
Thanks.

Aah, of course!
You know, I came across that web-site many, MANY moons ago and had even clicked every single link and read the contents in detail, but do you think I remembered this site when I was desperately looking for a website of HP Forest Dept. 3 months ago (to reply a query) or when writing previous post?
Not a chance!

Thanks, vasuki.
