I guess the traditional place would be Rishikesh for this with the camping, and the rafting etc...
Might be a bit too hot for a bonfire unless you go to mountains! ![]() One place you could look at is Park Woods , Shogi , HP - Its located on a ridge above Shoghi, cottages, activities and lots of walks... ...the only problem is that it might be raining , in which case the bonfire might not happen again... Dont know why i am getting fixated on the bonfire |

All I remember is one team building river rafting exercise in the US. The raft tipped and the entire executive staff drowned! The company went bankrupt..

But come to think of it it might teach them a lesson...you know something along the lines of
'perseverance in the face of adversity' OR 'somethings dont make sense , but you need to do them' |

Urrgh, really? Bonfire making in the rain? What kind of twisted idea of fun is that? How about hitchhiking to the nearest four star hotel and spending the night raiding the minibar? I'd love the entire team like my best friends by the end of that night.

I have many happy childhood memories of Welsh holidays on deserted beaches, foraging and beachcombing for wood in the rain, and making a fire to cook sausages and damper (a sort of bread) on sticks. Camping as an adult, it's a skill that has made the difference between being cold wet and miserable, and sitting beside a cheery fire, being warm and dry with a nice cup of tea and a hot meal inside me. When it's not raining, there's nothing more companionable than all sitting round a fire with a few beers. Quote:

I have similar memories of wet Welsh holidays, but in a tiny cottage with a wood fire. I went back there last year, just to see if I could find it again. It's still there, and the village still has just the one shop. Time stands still in north Powys, apparently.
Now I live in Wales full time, the rain's kind of lost its allure, though... ![]() |
