I would suggest you include a night halt at Sangla and see Sangla & Chitkul.......... they are too good to miss Also you don't need ILP to visit any place in Himachal (if you are an Indian)........ we visited Tabo Kaza in April and it is not requried for Indian........ so you can skip the day in Shimla your firs few days itinerary can be like this if you start early morning each day day 1 - kalka to sarahan day 2 - sarahan to sangla (and sightseeing at chitkul) day 3 - sangla to Nako/Tabo......... after Nako (and Mallignala) the road is descending and wider, so probably you can drive plan to drive till Tabo ........ seeing lake at NAko will take maximum 30 mins

Hi Sarchu is a valley without any inhabitants or shops. But during the season you will get Tents. 2007 May 31 night i stayed here in a tent. The cost was 1000 Rs for a night. You can get cheaper accommodation too. Since I was with my family I took a two bead tent with attached toilet. Harikrishnan |
