Andreas, it were your pictures on this forum that settled the decision in favor of doing this home stay trek. We enjoyed it a lot though it took us some time to acclimatize at Langza.
Yes, there is a road from Lhalung to Dhankar now and we walked on it partially to reach Dhankar. Also saw a group of motorcyclists going to Lhalung and a few jeeps with tourists on the same road. Each of the motorcyclists waved to us! I am finding it difficult to settle back to my work routine ![]() |

Hi
Hi,
Those were great pics mridula ... hmmm looks like you had an awesome time ... spiti is always like that ... Im getting itchy feet now ... havent really ben till thre this year .... maybe another few days ... Andreas thank you for your suggestions, but sadly it all fizzled out ... but we did the srikhand trail on the border with bhabha valley ... started from Kullu Sarahan (a road all the way up now) to "jaoon" and then bhim dwar and then the sacred massif. Interesting walk all of 4 days ... lots of meadows ... the we hiked in GHNP from Gushaini to Neuli ... fantastic walk ... the authorities dont allow shepherds inside anymore so the meadows have lost their sheen and lots of wild grass and wheat spoils the natural habitat. but a nice walk .. I dont know if you have walked this way and we ended by walking the bridle path from Khanag village to Tarala to malgi and kullu srahan ... super walk ... came to know a new thing and a new idea ... all forest rest houses in Himacahal Pradesh are at an equidistant 12kms ... and its gonna be an interesting walk ... Im planning something similar .. wanting to chart out a great rest house to rest house walk ... would keep the forum posted .... Cheers, Dhananjay |

I have uploaded a video of how a typical homestay at Spiti looks like but apologies in advance as the video quality is quite poor and my hand movement very jerky.

Rishabh, so how was your trip? Have you uploaded the pictures yet? I think you also wanted to go Chandra Tal? So, how was it?

It is indeed a small world! Lovely set of pictures. How was the Dalai Lama event at Nako? It must have got very crowded? Where do people stay?
