Spiti & Lahaul this August - festivals, weather?

Hi,

I'm currently preparing for a Spiti & Lahaul trip in August. I came across an information that there are two interesting festivals in the region in this period - a religious festival called Pauri in Trilokinath and Ladarcha trade fair in Kaza. Anybody knows the exact dates for this year?

Perhaps somebody knows other interesting festivals in the region this August?

Another question for those travelling there in last days - how far does the monsoon currently reach? Accuweather shows nearly constant rain for Shimla now - is it true? I presume Rekong Peo is rainy as well, but how is Nako, Tabo and farther inside Spiti?

Hi! About Triloknath I don't know. In Keylong on 15th August there is normally the annual fair,with a lot of people,trading and in the evening cultural programs,but not I'm notsure now. Ladarcha is basically the same thing and it should start on 17th Augustand last for 4 days. There are also some sport competitions in the daytime,at night in the courtyard of the school, music,dance and singing from different places in India. In Kinnaur it might well rain,here in Spiti the weather is basically dry,even if more clouds than in the past cross the himalayan range. Yesterday it was grey most of the day and in Kaza there were 2 small showers,5minutes each,warm in the day cool at night.
