shimla - sarahan - kinnaur - spiti - ladakh

Hey all,
I will be starting a road trip on bike in around 2nd week of august i.e. week no 32 and will start from manali or simla still have to decide however the idea is to cover the whole region of leh and ladakh and then to spiti across the valley which later will meet kinnaur and sangla and then to simla.
Please those who have done it before can put in your details as it will be a good source of information for me. So far im alone and people are most welcome to join...

Hello Brokenhope,

We are doing the Simla - kinnaur - spiti - lahual -manali road trip. Our plans confirmed from simla on 10 aug and arrive at manali on 16th aug evening. We are thinking of hiring a jeep / bike from simla. Let me know if we can do thetrip together? We are two people travelling.

Also asking other people if interested to do the same.

Cheers
Hymz

Yes. I agree with you. Any journey on the Spiti terrain will be stressful. But i guess our exuberance and enthusiasm will see us through our stress.

We have 7 days and 600 kms to do. I read it in some posts that this route was done by members by jeep /car in fewer days. Their are lot of validations posted by members. It seems perfectly doable considering we know the spots where we want to go.

If you are contemplating to join, then we will be able to include /exclude certain spots on the sector.

Cheers
Hymz

The distances mentioned in the links are absolutely spot on.
