Shimla stay at Willow Banks Mall road

How is Willow bank Hotel at mall road. is it worth a stay for a honeymooning couple. Also, is it actually at mall road level as claimed ?

Yes! it's right on the mall about halfway up, not that far from the lift (recommended) It's a bit posh for me but a friend stayed there & i saw the verreeee spacious modern room which looked like a decent London hotel room but much bigger with a verreeee comfy looking triple bed, so ideal for honeymoon
Also amazing views from the balconies, if you get a room that looks to the back & not onto the mall, also has a trendy bar serving booze down some steps in the basement on the mall. KK

Kullukid,

I thought for Honeymooners a "Single bed" rather than a "Triple Bed" would do better.

It is at the mall level.

Once you get out of the lift, you need to take a right and about 100 meters or so you will find it on the right.

It towards one side of the mall, close to Hotel Combermere and Oberoi Clarkes...it appears to be a nice enough place and i dont think there will be any problems.

haha ... I liked that one kullukid and Styler ...
Thanks Puchoo you cleared my doubt ... many hotelier actually claim being on Mall road and all but in the end they are at some distance and if we are talking a walk we hv to make sure we come back by dark ... I never cared about dark ,... been a night owl always but now getting domesticated

Would you guys recommend me any other activities, shopping, site seeing while I am there ?

Sit on the benches opposite Barrista etc and relax. Visit the old Viceroys Lodge, take a walk down to annadale (get the bus back). There are plenty of excursion trips around Shimla, go to the official HP Tourism Office and they can tell you about what bus tours they have. They used to do a 1 day coach tour to Kufri and Chail.

I recommend Tours 1 and 2.

If you go Kufri then wear suitable clothes and get a horse to the top. It can be muddy on the way up and unless it is very dry unsuitable for walking.
