Shimla qu..

everything iv heard of shimla makes me want to travel there, i will be in india for the next few months, and wondered, is it possible to travel there in dec or jan? Im not exactly sure of the weather patterns there, but wondered does it become snowed in, or is it still easily accessible? And any suggestions on how to get there, is the train the best option?

Yes for sure. Infact X-Mas & New Year are perfect at Shimla. If you are lucky you will have snow. There is no question of getting "snowed out" roads remain open & public transport runs smoothly.
Most of the hotels will provide room heater & electricity position in Himachal is pretty good. Some hotels even provide electric blankets.
Another great place to go is Kufri.

You'll be luckier still if you're snowed in and cannot leave the place for a while !

I am sure thats quite likely to happen ...snow in dec. or jan.
And I am quite likely to drive around to that place on a two wheels at that time of the year..... lets see how far I can go as well..

Best way to travel , oh yeah - train is gud besides you can try with roadways bus - which ply quite regularly...>
