Lightbulb Manali - Shimla.

You would never know when those crazy nala's between Gramphu & Batal wash away the road and make you to wait for 3 days in the middle of nowhere.
The other benefit is you start form some nice rest in manali and cross the barren areas of Spiti to reach Kinnaur and then all green again.
Adn the last one is You never knowin this strange weather changes when it starts snowing and Kunzum La get closed.
The bad thing is that the Maling-slide area after Tabo-Hurling can cause the trouble by landslides too. But in that case you have to walk some 2 kms only with your load. And it is a all weather road bettter than Losar - Gramphu.
