shimla - manali october end

hi
iam visiting shimla, manali in october 24th to 29th, with my family and another couple. my son is 2 years.

we are reaching shimla on 24th morning on shivalik deluxe. stay is arranged at youth hostels at shimla and manali. have any one been to youth hostels at these places? any idea ?

i hear travel to manali from shimla is nealy 10 hours and hard. is it ok to travel 10 hours in bus with my son in such terrains.
what is the taxi rate shimla to manali ?

we have planned to come back to shimla from manali to catch sivalik deluxe at 5.30pm on 29th then kalka howrah mail to delhi.what time we should start ? Or is it better to go straight to chandigarh from manali and then board the same train ?

Hi Abhilash. Me and my sister are also visiting Manali. We will reach on 25th Oct to Manali. You can give me your contact number. We can hire a common vehicle if it works out, will be cheaper. I am going to Manali from Chadigarh. Which all places are you guys visiting?

The taxi fare should be approx 2500/- one way..... In fact i am traveling at the same time as you, reaching shimla on 25th and traveling to manali on 28th morning. may be taxi would be a better option for you, as you can pace your journey and stop when needed, as per the needs of your kid.
Chk out the link for phone nos of taxi associations in shimla, you can directly call them them up & inquire.....
