Shimla - Manali - Dharamshala - Dalhousie Tour

I am planning a tour (Shimla - Manali - Dharamshala - Dalhousie Tour) in Nov'09. I am on a tight budget and I want to enjoy the natural beauty of the places. I am not interested in deluxe facilities.
I will start from Kolkata to Kalka.
Please suggest me a good Itinerary for the tour including hotels/Guest House, route, vehicle.

There are numerous posts here about the circuit you are talking about. Check the similar threads listed below.
I would suggest Khajjiar instead of Dalhousie.

The information provided in previous threads are very good, but these information are making me confused. Please suggest me a complete Program. We are two persons with our 1.5 year child. We are planning the tour for 11-12 days.

Kalka - Shimla you may go by Toy Train or Bus. for Shimla -Manali,
Manali - Dharamshala, & Dharamshala - Khajjiar & Khajjiar - Pathankot legs you may use HPTDC/HRTC buses.

From Pathankot you can book tickets in Sealdah express or Himgiri for Kolkata.

Budget Hotels:

Shimla - YMCA Guest house on ridge is a good, budget option.
Manali - Apple View Guest House
Dharamshala - Hotel Green or Pink House
Khajjiar - HPTDC Devdar hotel
