Lightbulb No tent

Tent NOT required.

Forest Rest Houses and / or / both village houses available all along the way..... just very basic acco. FRH's are fancy comfy log huts... depends on the mood of the chowkidaar.... he may allow you in for some baksheesh. Village houses no problem. Just ask.

Sarahan--Tranda--Ponda--Wangtu.... can do in three days.

Scenic enuff

How shall one define scenic???

Scenic enuff if you ask me.

So long as you factor in the detail that you are NOT at the top of any big mountain or peak...

I meant any ranges or glacier in view from the route or meadows, waterfalls etc.

Sarahan itself has the best views. The entire Shrikhand Mahadev range with all its glaciers waterfalls etc. in a 180 degree arc. After this, you are descending to the valley floor [almost, but not all the way], so naturally glaciers cannot be seen as clearly but it will be replaced by waterfalls and jungle views ...

For the big meadows, you will have to climb above Sarahan to camp in them.

I found the trails a delight , in a non-monumental way. Sometimes it would get crowded ;-)

There are some more details in my blog.
