Hello Fellow travelers ,

I was planning a trip to Sangla early June from Gurgaon, apparently its getting pushed to last week of June- early July now. I need help on what kind of weather do I expect around that time? I would want to avoid rains as I would be prefer to be more outdoor and mobile while in Sangla. The weather on Accuweather says its going to be rainy!!

Also how are the roads? I would prefer to do a motorbiking (Enfield)- trip with my wife. My tentative itinerary is

Days Start Stop Time
Day 1: Gurgaon Narkanda 10-12 hours
Day 2: Narkanda Sangla 7-8 hours
Day 3: Sangla Full Day
Day 4: Sangla Full Day
Day 5: Sangla Full Day
Day 6: Sangla Kalpa Full Day
Day 7: Kalpa Shimla 10 hours
Day 8: Shimla Gurgaon 10-12 hours

Thanks!
Diwakar

Just back from sangla-kalpa last week

for weather you have to check records of previous years and hope for the best.

roads are very enjoyable till wangtu . after wangtu construction works are going on, there is no danger but it's very dusty, cover your face well to protect from dust.

do you have a trekking plan in sangla ? otherwise go to kalpa on day 5 .

don't stay in sangla , rather stay in rakchham or chhitkul. sangla roads are full of stones and dust due to construction work.

enjoy.

Stay in Rakchham instead of Sangla ..
Trek to Basteri village from Rakchham .. you will enjoy it
Cheers,

Why Sangla? I would agree to the places mentioned in the previous 2 posts.

Hey!

Heading to Sangla next week!!

I'd agree with Kma and Aarosh, sangla can get a little boring.
I'll be camping at Sangla Kanda and then heading towards chitkul via baspa river trek the next day.

Accuweather does say it'll be rainy but you never know about the weather man, hopefully we'd bump into each other there.
