You know, the way everybody talks I think I'm worrying too much about snow, nobody else mentions it so is it not a worry?

There's two ways of looking at this, first most people won't go as deep or as high as I will this time of year, I simply go till I make it over or till I can't and then either pitch my tent an wait it out or turn and run. I've been on steep downhill inclines when the road was covered with ice, when you come to a corner the bike don't turn. Do you know how many times you can fall in one day and how many things eventually can break, not to mention having to right the sucker (in this country that could only be a problem if it didn't go over the cliff with all my gear) The second option is that I am overly concerned about these areas and Nepal. I really don't have a clue if I'm overly concerned, I can tell you I've almost died on hills a helluva lot smaller than these hills Cmon, give me a clue PS: I don't worry about going uphill cause the bike won't go up in icy conditions ![]() |
