Road trip advice - Dharamshala / Meleodganj

Hi friends,

I am planning to drive to Mcleodganj from delhi.

Wanted some advice on where to break journey as driving 12-15 hrs is long, tiring and i am in no hurry as such.

Journey break locations

1.Chandigarh - with the non stop highway to chandigarh i feel it is an early point to break the journey.

2.Anandpur Sahib / Naina Devi - This is the place where i am thinking of stying overnight as it can be reached by 12 pm if i start early by 5 am from delhi.

At anandpur sahib or naina devi would request some guidance of accomodation - just simple clean accomodation for a family of 2.

3.Shimla - The uphill journey is good but i feel the dostance shimla - dharamshala would be too tiring and a little out of the route also.

4. UNA - Any other advice is wellcomed.

I don't see any reason to break in between for Del- D'sala drive.
You'll easily reach Anandpur Sahib by 12 pm. Relax for couple of hours & start again. D'sala is only 4.5 hrs drive from here.
