reservations needed for Manali now (high season)?
Hi all,
I just registered here, and wouldn't you know, just arrived in India for my first time yesterday night. From Bangkok to Delhi, plane landed at 9pm, and I was already pretty much scared stiff by 9:20. But at 10:30 or so, found a pad on Paranganj, and I'm alive. So far, so good. Delhi's heat (and overwhelming-ness) are pushing me to head up to Manali. Seems like now, in late May, Manali will be packed. Will I have to make reservations in advance, or can I arrive in Manali in the morning and walk around to find a place? In SE Asia, where this trip started, I never had a place in advance. But wow, does India feel foreign. New rules, I guess. So, sorry for the rambling! And thanks in advance! 12 hours in, Jake
