[Please help me]: Delhi - Kasol and beyond.

Hello all,

I will be free on the 1st (evening),2nd,3rd and 4th of October, 2009. I was planning a trip like this:

Day:1 - 1st October'09 - Start from Delhi on Himachal Pradesh Tourism AC Delux bus and reach Kasol by early next morning, assuming it is about a 12 hour journey.

Day:2 - Relax, and explore and photograph Kasol and the adjoining areas, and by afternoon/ early evening move to Manali.

Day:3 - 3rd October'09 - Visit Rohtang Pass, and any places near-by, like Manikaran and Vashishth.

Day:4 - Start from Manali early in the morning to reach Delhi by late evening.

What I would like to know is the following:

1. Is there any direct bus from Delhi to Kasol? Or do I need to get off at Bhuntar, and then take a cab/ public bus to Kasol. If it is the latter, then how much would the cab/ bus cost?

2. Are there accomodation options available at Kasol. I will be traveling with a female companion (who is also an avid traveler).

3. Is my plan alright, or do I need to make changes? How far is Manali from Kasol anyways? I hope I can actually move to Manali after I am done exploring Kasol.

4. Will we get snow/ snowfall at Rohtang/ Manali at the time of the year when I am planning to visit Manali/ Rohtang (next month)? If we do get snow, then I would, personally, just LOVE it.

5. Lastly, where will I get Himachal Pradesh Tourism Buses from, in Delhi? I don't want to travel by any private buses as they are not really punctual or anything. HPTDC buses, are really punctual.

Please guys, I need some serious help, and quickly so.

I would really appreciate ANY help that I can get on this topic.

Why are you so facinated about Kasol that you are spending 2 days there?

You can make Manali as your base and visit Kasol/Manikaran in a day visit.

However, based on your plan, my comments are

Delhi to Kullu will take you around 12 Hours, and from Kullu Kasol is 42 Kms and will take 1.5 hours by bus. Local buses are available. Manikaran is 3 Kms from Kasol. Visit Nagar while going from Kasol to Manali (85 Kms).

Fare chance of finding snow at Rohtang. Manali will not have any snow.
