Just a fleece jacket, a windcheater, no Sleeping Bag (is that a big mistake?), a couple of shirts and a couple of pants. Do i need to extend my trip because i dont intend to walk the same paths again. Pls Advise. Thanks a lot. |

Hi
Hi,
I can suggest for Himachal ... Shimla (2days) - Sarahan (1day) - Sangla (2days) - Kalpa (1 day) - Nako (1day) - Tabo (1day) - Dhankar - Kaza (1day) - Kaza - kye -Kibber - Gete (1day) ... Manali (2 days) - Trek to Malana over chandrakhani (2 days from Nagger) .. To Kasol (1 day) .. To Kullu ... back night bus is avalable .. No rains but do expect real cold weather ... Carrying a sleeping bag is advisable ... an d sunscreen lotion, diamox, garlic pills, Good Hiking Boots, And atleast a good jacket over the fleece and a woolen sweater .... It is raining in Manali and Shimla ... You cant hate it .... And yes if you want a good explor atory trip extend it by a week and spend 2 more days in Kinnaur and a 3 in Spiti doing the Sangla kanda hike in Sangla and the Lingti valley trail in spiti ... Happy traveling Cheers, Dhananjay |

some advice
I think it rains during that season in Manali & nainital, you'll be lucky if you get away without getting wet. Why dont you have a look at :
http://www.find-india.com/destinatio...dia/manali.htm http://www.find-india.com/destinatio.../manikaran.htm http://www.find-india.com/destinatio...a/nainital.htm This might help. I think you must carry sleeping bag that would be useful. Gaurav |
