The distance from Keylong to Killar (Pangi) is only 120 kms.But it takes 6 hrs.because road from udaipur to Killar is not good

Its one of the most awesome roads . . . though the Sach Pass isn't so high (4500m), its one of the most beautiful passes i've seen, some serious rough terrain . . . also passes through much forest and some interesting waterfalls . . . saw some inquisitive deer on top of the pass in a snowstorm!! The descent into the Pangi valley has really bad roads (infact the last 12km up to sach pass from satrundi are quite horrid!) . . . the pangi valley is really something . . . its a tight valley really narrow at the base and forming gorges at times . . . huge snow clad mountains fall at ones feet and for long miles you don't pass a soul in the forest . . . the women are also of justly famed beauty ;-) Kilar isn't much of a place to hand out as i figured! its a small town with a small bazaar a couple of temples set on a serious slope! triloklinath next to udaipur looks amazing, i didn't cycle up though! I cycled through from Pathankot to Manali last year in september!
