This is not a RULE that innerline permit application should be forwarded by AGENTS. I had been in IL every year and sometimes....3/4 permits in various places. AGENTS are NOT prefered by any govt. official and you can easily get a permit.
They do charge a fee but certainly do not encourage AGENT business.

KASAULI is no more that KASAULI which we used to read about or might have visited 5-10 years back. If you want to see how mountains are going to be distroyed...please visit KASAULI.

Almost every big name might be having some guest house here. New trend is to hire houses or floors for full one year and enjoy !
You should not see any ORDINARY MARUTI 800 on this road. A 35,000 / year for two room st with attached baths and full terrace is not a costly options for any business !

Hi

Hi,
Him Adventures ... Though Tour operators and other agents are not encouraged by the government .. The Form for the inner line permit requires the name of the agency through which the traveler is coming from ... This is not that it implies business but an official dogma which has passed on since the area was opened in the early nineties .... I have known of Instances in Shimla where people have been refused the ILP cause they were not solicited by an operator ,,, A stupid practise indeed however the Government is promising to solve the problem ....

And living i Shimla I have traveled to Kasuali so many times ... sure I agree with you there ....

Cheers,
Dhananjay

Hi

Hi,
forgot to mention ... That the ILP is absolutely free of cost .. there are no charges for that which hve to be paid ... however a lil bribe to the officials may help .. the indispensable indian baboo ....

Cheers,
Dhananjay
