Need help on kullu trip
Hello people..
Im planning a trip to kullu but mostly i will be going by myself and though i have lived in bombay all my life i have never been to north. I will be flyin to delhi on the 28th sep. I just have 8days in hand and my main interests lie in banjar valley and rotang pass. Though im not gonna trek much but i wann check out these places. Im very clueless how to go about this and where to stay. Also need to have a rough budget in mind. Any tips and help would be more than welcome. |

You got to get to Manali. The Himachal tourism runs overnight deluxe buses from Delhi, which you can take. Their office is in Janpath.
This is not high season in Manali so you should be able to find affordable accomodation. You may not need to book in advance. Reach Manali early morning and scout around. |

Kunal, you will get state transport from Aut (near Larji tunnel in Mandi) and Bhuntar (in Kullu) for Banjar. Aut and Bhuntar both are on NH-21 on which you will be travelling to reach Manali. If not interested in state transport, you can hire a cab from these two places. Shoja Village is very beautiful in banjar area and have facilities to serve tourists. Once in Shoja, try to go to Jalori pass. Jalori pass is motorable and not very far from Shoja. So here again you have options of state transport and cab both. Rewalsar is pretty lake at about two hours trek distance from jalori pass. If time permits you think about it.
To reach Rohtang pass from manali, again you have options of state transport and cab.Manali is the place from where you can get cab to any where in HP. P.s: Please, read Sirolsar instead of Rewalsar Last edited by uttam : Jul 31st, 2007 at 11:13. |
