26th July: Shimla - Narkanda (HRTC Bus)
27th July: Narkanda - Sainj - Jalori - Shoja (HRTC Bus)
28th July: Shoja - Banjara - Aut - Manali (HRTC Bus)
29th July: Manali - Rohtang La - Keylong (HRTC Bus)
30th July: Keylong - Udeypur - Killar (HRTC Bus)
31st July: Killar (rest day)
1st Aug : Killar - SachPass - Chamba (By Share Maxx jeep)
2nd Aug : Chamba - Delhi (HRTC Bus)

WoW the pictures of pangi and sach-pass brought back some beautiful memories. The people in PANGI are fantastic. Thanks for the pictures The Miyar Nallah is actually little before udaipur on the road side of the mountain. And in pangi the local women wear this. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...5673145&type=3 in lahaul they wear that bavarian kind of dress, its actually introduced by germans.

OK, will post 3-4 pics here later. Selecting 3-4 will be a real tough 'job' for me

Nobody Really ... just leaving the option* to the Viewer ... to see the 'rivers' of pictures (in Flickriver) or be satisfied with the 3-4 teaser pictures here!

(* depending on their fancy and the internet speed they have )

Posting some pics from this tour:

The GH at Shoja, below the Jalori Pass, where I stayed 1 night

Our HRTC bus stuck in traffic-jam due to landslides just below Rohtang-La pass

Sunrise view of snow peaks from Keylong Hotel

Chandrabhaga River as we enter Pangi Valley - on way from Keylang to Udeypur:

View as we cross Udeypur and head further West towards Killar

Nearing the top of Sach Pass now (alt: 4250M approx)

Snow banks piled up on either side of track just below the Sach-Pass

The Devi temple at the Sach-Pass top; our Maxx-Jeep pax climb up to offer prayers for safe journey:

Was planning 4 snaps ... but ended up with 8!

Lucid: I think by 'Bavarian' kind of dress you mean the one the girl is wearing in this Picture?: http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6146/6...8ae93633_b.jpg

Actually, I saw many women in Pangi Valley wearing this sort of dress mostly in dark 'royal' brown/velvet colors with golden embroidery work; the distinguishing feature being a large 'M' cut on the hemline around the side of the knee area.

You are right it looks 'Germaniic' to me too ... but how did come here?

I'm thinking of doing this journey in a few weeks. How much does a seat in the jeep cost?

It was Rs 500/- per seat, in the Share-Maxx from Killar to Chamba via Sach Pass in August-2011
