Yes, supposed to be a 3star hotel about a km from the hotel. Packages are offered for this hotel from all the major sites Travel guru etc. As packages were in my budget and also as it in center of town(I'm traveling by bus) I thought of booking it.
Reviews I have found out were 50 - 50 50% Good - 50% Worst ![]() |

Hi guys!
Had a great trip in Manali. The discussions/recommendations on this site helped a lot in planning my journey at every step. Enjoyed a snow-covered Manali for four days. Got heavy snowfall at night. Will be posting the pics soon! The hotel - Orchard Greens - was pretty good. I've placed the hotel review in the "Hotels" section of IM. Regarding the HPTDC Volvo bus trip from Delhi to Manali, all I would like to say is that as compared to regular buses, the volvo buses are good and comfortable enough. But the journey is still a bit hectic - since you cant sleep in a proper posture (the seats are 45 degree reclining). Moreover, the stops are very very limited, and the place where it stops for dinner is of very poor quality. But we have no choice here - since this is the best option we can get anyway! Anyway, bus journey apart, the stay in Manali was very much enjoyable. Once again, a big thanks to all IM guys for helping me out with my queries! ![]() |

Hello Guys - Thanks everyone for sharing any information that you had about Shimla, Manali.
I am done with my vacation for last two weeks in Delhi-Agra-Shimla-Kullu-Manali. It was really nice and extremely good. My Initial tour plan was to stay in Shimla for 2days and next 4 days in Manali , but fortunately I was trapped in Shimla for an extra day due to HEAVY SNOW. It was indeed most exciting to see a heavy snow fall and i got the chance to capture them all in my videocam. Manali was really nice but ONLY for Snow sports, nothing else other than few temples and hot water springs. But there are chances your driver may not willing to take you to these places if it snows. Unforuntaely , I could not see snow falls in Manali during my 3 days unlike my experience in shimla. You have to go to Sollang Valley and Snow point to have fun with Snow. Sollang Valley was really nice with about 7 to 10 feet of snow. There is a resort - Sollang Valley Resort right at the midst of 7 feet snow. You may want to thrill your wife if you can book this hotel. Caution : There are lots of brokers everywhere to trap you for the snow sports. You may want to skip them and reach directly to Snow point or SollangValley and enjoy the sports particularly you like them (like Mountain Bike, Para Sailinig, Skiing etc., ). Honeymoon Inn that i stayed in Shimla and Manali was not nice. We had lots of problems. Its not worth for money. I would post my reviews in the hotels section shortly. Thanks everyone. |
