Manali to Rohtang to Spiti Valley and back to manali on the same day

Hi,
M visiting manali on 23rd June,12 and planning to visit Rohthang on 25th. I will start my journey to Rohthang from Manali very early morning. After enjoying Rohthang, I wish to visit Spiti valley on the same day (near about 1pm) to have a glance of the beautiful landscape of Lahul. and then return to Manali at by evening(7pm-8pm) on the same day.
Now can anyone guide me whether its possible to visit spiti
valley after enjoying Rohthang.if i wish to return to Manali on the same day???

First of all specify Spiti which place, what will be mode of transportation
Spiti is a big area a sub district , specify which town you want to visit
If you want to go to Kaza it is not possible to goto Kaza and come back on same day It takes 5 hours from Gramphu to Kaza on a bad road on himalayan standard
first of all you will get stuck in traffic jam at Rohtang pass which will take away 2 hrs from you
Road from Rohtang to kunzum in not very vehicle friendly, if you want to enjoy all places peacefully you need 3-4 days minimum to visit. You wont be able to drive long if you dont have experience on Upper himalayan roads

Spiti and Lahaul are different regions. If you go to Spiti via Rohtang and Kunjum, Kelong will not be on your way.
BTW, Manali to Rohtang, heavy traffic jam on Rohtang, Lahaul, Kunjum, Spiti and back to Manali on the same day.... NOT POSSIBLE.

As already pointed out Spiti is a BIG region and depends where/what do you wish to there; but if you start quite early in the morning you can visit Chandratal Lake and come back on same day. That's doable.

Ok fine. Sounds good too. Then I shall visit the lake for sure. Can you please let me know how much time it will take from Rohthang to the lake??
And also please suggest by what time i should start my journey from Manali in the morning to cover Rohthang and Chandratal and come back to manali again.
Thanks a lot.
