Kullu Bypass Open now

Hi,

I was in Manali last week. There is a good news for all the people driving to Manali this summer.
The Kullu Bypass is now open. No more driving through the narrow jammed Kullu Town to reach Manali.
At the Bhuntar crossing, where we turned left to go to Kullu earlier, we go straight instead, and left after the bridge. This road will lead us straight to the Bridge over Beas after Kullu town.

Last time i visited Kullu area it was still under construction, good news!

Thanks Styler, that is indeed good news. BTW does it continues straight to the Naggar route or does one have to take the diversion?

When you reach the bridge over the beas after kullu, if you keep going on the right bank of the beas you go to nagar - manali. If you cross the bridge, then you drive on the raison -patlikul- manali road. These two options were there evan before.

Ahem Styler, shudn't that be left bank of the Beas? You know, downstream.

Wud you believe I crossed over on the old swing-bridge over the Parvati (close to the new one) in October in a Bolero?
