Kinnuar Valley

Dear Board,

I want to make a travel in Shimla-Narkanda-Saharan-Sangla-Chitkul-Kalpa-Shimla. When the road will be open next year. Will it be available in and around March? I think 6 days will be sufficient if I planned to night stay in Rampur, Saharan, Sangla, Kalpa.

Visit the beautiful palace in Rampur. Walk in to the office of the Himachal State Electricity board & try to book a room at their bungalow in Sangla.
The temple at Sarahan is amazing. Hinduism & Buddhism seem to mingle. The intricate tankhas(tapestry) at the monestaries are very intersting. The view of Kinnaur Kailash from Kalpa & Recong pio is simply awsome. If you are in to photography make sure to take a polarising filter. The mountain face is shining black granite.

6 days should do u good, but march will be cold ride if u plan to do it on a bike. But yeah the road will be allright, and (allright != smooth)

Not sure about the road conditions : Wud update about them as the time comes - Things have been bit rough as of now... Not sure how far u cn go across but I will update that by monday. I m heading that side tommorrow.

But Februaury might be bit brave decision coming over from calcutta if u want to come over to rampur & sarahan.

Roads upto Sarahan are the best roads... to glide on.
