Yaron, don't skip Kinnaur. Going by general pattern of weather, it will be on your side in September.Anywhere in mountains, one can not predict freak incidents, though.

I passed thru Kinnaur from Shimla at the same time two years ago : more drizzles than real rains. Once or twice IŽd find a good tree to sit under and make an extra (apple) break , never thought of popping up the tent.
There is a thread called "road conditions" something .. in the HP forum , where you can get updates on the joys/horrors of crossing Malling etc. ![]()
