Kalpa, Recong Peo Trip in July ( Himachal)...Need Help
Hi everybody,
I am very new to India Mike. Have really been impressed by all the info that we get out here. M planning to go to Recong Peo and Kalpa in mid July( around 15th). I would like to know whether it is a good time to go dre..weather wise... since its monsoon time elsewhere. Also m planning to take the bus from Shimla at 8 in the evening. Is it safe enuf to travel in this route at nite or shud i travel during day time. Or oderwise can i get a shared taxi from shimla or Kalpa. If so what kind of rates shud expect?? My last query is if anyone can provide me a list of accomodation facilities with rates at kalpa or Recong Peo. It would be great help if anyone can provide any info... Thanks. Bikash |

I've been in Peo and Kalpa in May 2006 and it was a great time of the year, but July must be amazing, with a lot of apple on the trees and flowers on the meadows so...nice choice mate! Just one thing..I took the public bus from shimla to kalpa by day and I'm sure I'd NEVER travel that road by night, like every other himalayan road by the way..but THIS one is really frightening!! |
