July Weather in Himachal Pradesh?

I hope to spend a few days in Shimla and Manali in the second week of July but am apprehensive about the weather. Will the monsoon seriously hamper my mobility?

Depends on how severe they are, but yes they can.

@Kamel: i jus got back 4m Himachal. The monsoon has been delayed there too. By mid-july it will be in full swing.Shimla and Manali won't be too hazardous, at least not half as compared to some places in Parvati. Unless there is a terrible stroke of bad luck, I'm sure you'll get enough clear weather to enjoy the trip.. Have fun

Johhny , How is the weather down there?? I am planning to leave tommorow (tuesday 07 July) , want to spend tuesday in Kasol , then on wednesday morning we are planning a trek to chalal and hopefully malana. Will also be wanting to go to Tosh , Palga etc if the weather permits. Going to mainly get away from New delhi (have been in india for 2 weeks) and sample some of the much talked about Produce in the Tosh valley and ofcourse Malana . What is the shortest trek to tosh if one has an SUV?? I wanted to know cuz if it rains we might be able to do part of te journey in the SUV and the rest on foot.
