can anyone advice on hotel at SHIMLA MANALI DALHOUSIE
time of travel in MAY 2008


preference -
on the mall road
tariff - within Rs. 2000

Also how are the HPTDC hotels in himachal.

HPTDC hotels are good. Holiday Home in Shimla, Kunzum or Rohtang Manalsu in Manali and Mani Mahesh in Dalhousie are decent HPTDC hotels.

Else you can try the Baljees, Silverine, Shingar or Fairmount at Shimla.
Ankit Palace, Nandini, Sitara, New Adarsh at Manali
Silver Oak, Sagarika, Kumar at Dalhousie will fit well in your budget.

In summers the hotel normally offers packages and hardly accept bookings on room basis. Just check with the hotels first.

Rohatang Manalsu is not a good option. Atleast, last december we had tough 2 night stay there.
Need to power on Water heater before an hour. Ventilation is always open, so its coldest in night. food isn't nice too.

Mani Mahesh is quite opposite. It has view, good food, comfortable stay. all below 1500.
