Honeymoon couple to Himachal, Dec 2009
Hello to all Mikians!
 I'm Raj, Me and my wife are planning for our second honeymoon to Himachal and Katra during Dec second week. Planning to complete trip in 12 or 13 days in a rental car. We will be taking car from Delhi. Day 1 - Arrive Delhi by noon and proceed to Amritsar Day 2 - Visit Golden temple and proceed to Katra Day 3 - Katra Day 4 Katra and proceed to Dalhousie, Stay at Dalhousie Day 5 - Dalhousie sightseeing, stay at dalhousie Day 6 - Khajjar and proceed to Manali Day 7 - Manali Day 8 - Manali Day 9 - Manali Day 10 - Manali to Shimla Day 11 - Shimla (Narkanda) Day 12 - Shimla to Delhi Day 13 - Delhi Day 14 - Delhi to Chennai by plane. 1. Which car is enough best to travel .. Indica or Indigo ? Is Rs.7/KM economical ? Is it safe for a couple to travel alone in a car in Himachal areas? 2. Please suggest any modifications or worthy visit places in lieu for Shimla. 3. Will we able to enjoy snow in Dalhousie or Manali during Dec Second week ? 4. Also suggest nice resorts to stay in (Budegt 1200-1700). 5. If any couple is interested to join us, Please pm me. Thank you all and have a good trip! |

Where is the honeymoon, you are hopping from one place to another.
Well, it is a matter of personal choice, but are you not trying to do too many places. It would be cold in December. Leave some for your third honeymoon. Khajjiar to Manali is a long way off. |

Thanks Aupmanyav, Which one is good, Dharmashala or Dalhousie ? Does it snows in Dec in Dharmashala ?

No, Dharamsala's altitude is low, but not even in Mcleodsganj.
