hello have you got some good adresses (guesthouses and quite areas) in himachal pradesh ?
also i search some informations from orissa's districts:
barrage d'hirakud
sonapur
bhawanipatna district
similipal national parc

If you want quiet then Brahmour might fit the bill - east of Chamba. Stayed at the Chamunda Guest House which had fantastic views out over the valley. The centre of the village is dominated by a square dotted with ancient temples - all very beautiful. Really friendly locals, a Tibetan noodle place and a great thali place just above the square. We were there when all these pilgrims from Jammu were arriving for the annual Manimahesh Yatra - they'd walked a long way and were going on further to a sacred lake 20km away. Interesting to sit and watch their devotions when they reached the temple square. Then they might slaughter a sheep for dinner and also cook up large batches of halva for prasad, which they pass around to everyone - us included (yummo). Anyway, check it out.
