Mod Note
I have changed your title slightly to reflect the subject matter. (Better not write "Help Urgently Needed" unless you are stuck in an avalanche on a mountain top!)

Thanks..

@ Sabari : I have checked the thread but couldnt get a relevant answer..

If we have anybody in the forum who has actually stayed at Kufri Holiday Resort...

Actually its a company off site which i am planning, and the dates are almost their : 9th to 11th July, havent yet confirmed the booking to the hotel, just want to ensure that its a good place to stay.. we'll be a group of 40 ppl.. When i say good place : i mean luxury of atleast a 3 star category coz they have quoted that sort of rates. I also need some feedback about their food and cleanliness...

All the info needed on urgent basis...

Thanks
Rakhi

I moved your thread to Himachel Pradesh forum, where maybe you might get some more answers. Following that existing link there, it says the Resort is lousy. The Hotels section has it listed but no member has reviewed it on this forum, so maybe that is your answer! It might be not too great.

By the way, this is not a blog forum - it is a forum for the exchange of travel information and as well as this there are some areas for expats, and Chai and Chat etc. For Chai and Chat you will need a minimum of 10 days membership and ten posts.

So keep in mind, this is not a chat room/ blog forum.

And welcome to India Mike!

(I hope it is not too rainy for your groups' stay up there - it is daily raining now in Uttarakhand)

Kufri Resort is one of the oldest resorts in Shimla area, the first if I am not wrong. It has seen many a good times when competition from other hotels was less and Kufri was a cleaner place to visit. Then a lot happened, the owners split and the hotel did see bad times.

Lately I have heard it has been taken by some group, Alchemist.

The views are one of the best for sure. I have seen the hotel at it's glory and during the bad times both.

With new chain coming in, you must not be disappointed. And yes, it's started raining here in Shimla these days.

I've seen the resort from the outside and can verify that it is situated beautifully. Did you check on Tripadvisor? That is quite a comprehensive website for independent hotel reviews.
