Help required to plan my itinerary

I want to visit Himachal Pradesh for a very limited days in hand. I give below my query for your help:

Reaching Jalandhar city from where I would like to go Kangra. I am arriving Jalandhar City at 15:30 hours. Is it possible to reach Kangra on the same day from Jalandar by road? Some suggested to go upto Pathankot and stay for that night, as some connective trains are available for Pathankot. I like to visit Chamunda Devi Temple near Kangra.

From Kangra will leave for Manali, after finishing sight seeing at Kangra, next day. Stay at Manali.

Manali to Simla - stay

Simla to Kalka - where to stay? Kalka or Chandigarh as my train for Delhi is from Chandigarh next morning. Arriving Kalka at late night from Simla.

Looking for your suggestions.

I am not sure if you can reach Kangra on the same day. You will have to check if the narrow gauge train running now from Pathankot to Kangra. They were not operational some time back.

There are some staying options near Kalka railway station.

PS: Edited to mean same day instead of same train.

Can any one suggest where I can see snowfall

Now I have changed my itinerary a little. I will get down at Ambala Cant. instead of Jalandhar. From there will take another train for Una-Himachal. Next morning I will reach Kangra as suggested by hotelier of Kangra.
