Hi Serge,

You are not going to find any travel agent in Indiamike as they are banned here.

Please search the complete forum and I am sure you will get more than you want as indiamike is a huge database of travel needs.

With Warm Regards

2 years ago I had gone to Manali and got friendly with a middle aged man who ran a rental store of sking gear near Soulang Valley. He turned out to be arranging tours to Leh and other places too.
I got his number as I am still living my dream to visit Leh via Manali on bike (which now is moving to a gypsy). Was in touch with him till last year (His number is not reachable a lot of ties as he says he is travelling to remote places).

I have never travelled with him so would not be able to give a feedback about his services. He however seemed to be more than just a good talker. I also googled him and I think I found certain references of him given by mountaineers.
You can atleast have a discussion with him if the number still holds good - Mr Pasang Bodh 01902-256138/09418269967

This thread is now shifted to the Himachal Pradesh forum.

Ok, first most basic question that arises in my mind when I read your posts is "where do you want to go?". Manali is a town, well-connected by road, not a trekking destination! It is a good place to prepare and start for some treks though, but not all in Himachal.

Do you want to go trekking around Manali? Have you already chosen a trek, or have a shortlist to choose from, or need help choosing one? How many days you have for the trek? What's the age group all 9 of your family members belong to? What is your experience level? Have any of you ever been on a trek before? What is your budget?

@Serge - you're English is great, so not need to be sorry about that. I haven't done that trek, so cannot comment on costs, etc. but the following thread has a discussion on the same topic: Hamta Pass - Chandratal Trek

Btw, in your itinerary, the last day August 01st, is a bit confusing. It says "Manali – Kullu – LEH", are you planning to go from Manali to Leh by road? If yes, then Kullu won't come on the way. Manali-Leh is at least a two day journey by road. Jispa/Baralacha-La are on the way from Manali to Leh, so it don't make sense to come back to Manali, and travel back on the same way again. Route is Manali-Khoksar-Sissu-Gonda-Tandi-Keylong-Jispa-Darcha-Patseo-Zingzingbar-Sarchu-Gya-Upshi-Karu-Shey-Leh. Hope I haven't made it more confusing.
