help needed for my travel plan to shimla

hi friends, i am new to this forum. i am from chennai and planning to visit shimla , amristar, rishikesh , kuruchetra and haridwar with my mom , dad , grandpa and grandma.. i am nt wel versed in the routes..can u plz help me?

day 1 arrive at shimla (5 pm) from chennai(via chandigargh)
which places to visit in the evening.
day 2 planning to visit tara devi and kufri
day 3 i am strucked here
can u plz plan the route for me and how to go to
amristar , chandigargh ,kurushetra, rishikesh and
haridwar and the type of travel( train or bus)
stay nt a problem..can manage/..
to which place do i need to go first after shimla.
day 4
day 5
day 6 (morn)
day 6(night) - need to come to delhi .....

day 7 morn- just visi the important places in delhi by taxi
(5 pm ) train to chennai from delhi

I am not well versed in the routes either, and surely someone will come along shortly who knows much more than I do. But I can tell you that to go to Haridwar, the easiest way is to go back to Delhi and then overnight to Haridwar. Shimla and Haridwar aren't too far from each other, but crossing the mountains is quite difficult. I suspect that your easiest way to travel will be bouncing back and forth from some of these places to Delhi and onto the next location...

but maybe someone else has some more detailed suggestions.

When are you going ?

TBH with you not much to see or do in Kufri during the summer.

Day 1. In Shimla @5pm, Just chill and sit on those benches half way up the mall (sort of opposite the firestation and opposite Barristas).

Day 3 visit Chail.
You will get direct bus to Amritsar from Shimla. To take a train you will have to come to Ambala.

I think you are planning to visit too many places in a short time 5 to 6 stations in six days?
OMG, that would be too much of torture for the old people (GrandPa and GrandMa).Delhi and Haridwar will be too hot, even Amritsar and Chandigarh are not any cool. So first of all shorten the list of places you want to visit and then ask for any help.

Day 1 - Reaching at 5pm (hope you accounted for any travel delays). After reaching your hotel and freshning up, there won't be any time left to visit any place. Yes, you can roam around on the mall.

Day 2- Kufri and other places may be Mashobra or Jakhoo.

Day3 - To Chandigarh Early morning and local sightseeing at Chandigarh.

Day4 - To Amritsar (nearly 5hours) visit Harmander Sahib ( Golden Temple) and If you can do it vist Wagah border to watch the retreat ceremony at sunset, When BSf and Pakistan rangers lower their flags at border. This is a treat for eyes, stay at Harmander Sahib.

Day5 - Travel to Kurukshetra early morning rain would reach Kurukshetra around 11-30. visit temples and onward journey to Delhi.

Day 6 and 7 - local sight seeeing at Delhi. Even 2 days are too short for seeing Delhi

as of the plan now..i am going to amristar frm chandigarh.....so do i need to cme bak to chandigargh to go to kurushetra?? is there a train frm amristar to kurushetra via ambala?

hw frequent is the bus from shimla to amristar?
