Going to Manali Next Week

Hello Friends,

It is my first post here and boy, I am excited to start with.

I am going to Manali from Chandigarh, this week from Wednesday to Sunday, have planned of Kullu,Rohtang & Manali.

This is my first time there and am more of a scenic lover. Will be going there in my car with my family, don't have reservation as such. Would appreciate if anyone can suggest beautiful places to visit there.
Also, anyone here with an experience in adventure sports in Manali?

In Kullu region you can visit; Manikaran Sahib, Kasol. Around Manali - Hidimba temple, Naggar area. You can find a few adventure sports in Solang Valley area.

For adventure sports:

1. River rafting on the Beas is a must ... on the way you from Kullu to Manali you will find lots of "companies" offering rafting. Try out counter number 50. These guys might try and con you - mkt rate is Rs 450 a head.

2. Paragliding in Solang Valley: must try. You get a "pilot" to help you out. Rates are Rs 500 from the low height. And Rs 1500 from the top of the hill (which you have to access through cable car).

3. Kids can do zorbing at Solang Valley also.

4. Plus at Clubhouse in Manali you get river crossing options as well.

Of course, check if road to Rohtang is open now - it wasn't when i was there 10 days back.
