Hi Rahee,

Now that you have woken up a sleeping thread,
I would like to add
The Sunshine Guest House Manali,
Reasonable Colonial Era Cottages walkable from the mall road.
Cost is Rs 400 per night per room,
There is already enough information about this place in these forums.

Hi there Styler

I must add that when the Himalayas first came into view while travelling uphill the first thought that crossed my mind was that there must really be a God for only s/he is capable of creating such beauty.
HP-A must see for all travellers.

Just make sure to ask for clean bedsheets - I posted on this earlier in the week! Lovely setting, pity about the lack of service though. Views are unrivaled!

Madamlarkin :

True, the Service at Sunshine is lacking with the caretaker Chaman Lal being the Single Man Army.
But then that's the reason Dharam Chand Ji gives out rooms for Rs 400/= a night.

If The Toilets are upgraded, and there is prompt room service and restaurants and TVs then we'd be paying 2000/= for the place.

If you want service, then Johnsons / Banons are always there.

HOTEL CHAIL PALCE!
Yes i would recommend dis place highly to stay, they also offer a couple of log huts a km away from the main hotel in between beautiful swaying trees amidst nature's cool wind from all around.
Hotel accommodation is also fine if you choose that. They also offer independent cottages specially for families where u can cook yourself n take d pleasure.
Tariff:
1>LOG HUTS:Rs 1600 per night.
2>Hotel rooms: 2400 to 4000.
This place is quite quaint & beautiful & is located at a higher altitude than Shimla.

Njoy!

I have stayed at Hotel Holiday home in Shimla and Peach blossom in Fagu and both the stays have been great.

I went in July and it seemed like December in Fagu. Excellent place.

I have heard a lot of good about Peach Blossom Fagu.
However my last two visits to Kufri & Fagu were disappointing.
All you could see was Ponies, their shit & smelly surrounding.
And the way trees have been cut down from this region its not even a tenth of what it used to be 10-15 years ago.
