eMJay the room at Triund would cost you around 300 rupees and a little more for food. I do not know how much the tent costs but then how are the rains at the moment?

Mcleodganj-triund in 2nd week july
Hey all,
I've gone thru the entire thread...and must say that dere is lot of nice info out there. Well I've been to McLeodganj like...4-5 times(did my engineering frm punjab)...and i must say...that ur trip is not complete widout triund...as its (im sure those who have visited will agree) one of the coolest place on earth. Now comin 2 point...I just came to knw that i m free during 2nd week of july(6-12), so i m planin a 3-4 day trip to Mcleodganj-triund Itenerary include: Day 1)Chilling out a day(or 2) at Mcleoadganj, taste diff cuisines etc. Day 2)Trek to Triund, eat delicious maggi dere and night stay. Day 3)Go higher to "Ilaka"(not sure abt the name) and come back to McLeodganj by evening. So rt now I am planning to travel alone...in case anyone is plannin the trip arnd dat time...please reply...I m quite flexible abt my dates Cheers!!! Amit |

Hi !
Can anybody suggest a place to stay in the range of US$ 5-10 per day in McLeodganj. I do not wish to stay outside the city. Am I asking for too much ? Or are there such places ? |

There are places where you can stay for 5 to 10 USD per day. You can try: Shambala Hotel Kailwood Guest House Hotel Green ALl three of them are in Mcleodgunj and close to the market and very clean with good views of the valley. Cheers, Harsha |

We stayed for a night in Shambhala Hotel on our trip to Mcleodganj last week. A very decent budget hotel in Rs. 500/- (aprx. 10 $). The only turn off about this place is that it is situated right in the market hence its so noisy all the time with moving vehicles round the clock.
