eMJay the room at Triund would cost you around 300 rupees and a little more for food. I do not know how much the tent costs but then how are the rains at the moment?

Hi !

Can anybody suggest a place to stay in the range of US$ 5-10 per day in McLeodganj. I do not wish to stay outside the city.

Am I asking for too much ? Or are there such places ?

Hi Jonam,

There are places where you can stay for 5 to 10 USD per day.

You can try:

Shambala Hotel
Kailwood Guest House
Hotel Green

ALl three of them are in Mcleodgunj and close to the market and very clean with good views of the valley.

Cheers,
Harsha

We stayed for a night in Shambhala Hotel on our trip to Mcleodganj last week. A very decent budget hotel in Rs. 500/- (aprx. 10 $). The only turn off about this place is that it is situated right in the market hence its so noisy all the time with moving vehicles round the clock.
