Dharamsala in September

I've been to India a few times and this year I'd like to go to Himachal Pradesh, around Dharamsala.
My vacation will be from September the 10th to the 30th, is Himachal Pradesh a sensible (weather wise) choice? I remember being in Nepal in June and missing all the amazing wiews

If it's not what could be a good alternative?
I would happily return to Ladakh, but in September there's the festival and I'm afraid it will be crowded

Any suggestion???

I was there some years back in mid-September and it was raining heavily for around 30 minutes and then sunny skies.

It was none the less enjoyable and the rain only lasted for short periods of time, so if it's the only time you have, go there - but take a lightweight raincoat and enjoy.

The monsoon is pretty much over in Dharamsala by mid September. The weather should be fine.
