Deluxe Bus to Sarahan

I am planning to visit Sarahan (actually Kinnaur) by bus, taking it in short stages.
I would like to know if there is a deluxe bus from Shimla to Sarahan (deluxe means anything else than ordinary, even semi-deluxe would be fine).

It is not very clear in posts here about Shimla-Sarahan buses with having to change buses at Jeori?.

There is no direct deluxe buses for Sarahan from Shimla. Only one Deluxe bus operates between Chandigarh and Recong Peo of HRTC. You can travel till Jeori in this bus and then onwards you can hire a taxi or maxicabs/local buses. This bus leaves Shimla at 1030 am and reaches Jeori by 3 pm

Traveling in hills in Deluxe buses is not advisible as this can lead to higher degree of mountain sickness than ordinary buses.

Where I would need to take this bus in Shimla--Lakkar Bazar or the main ISBT?. And would I need to pre-book my seats?

Alternatively I could reach Kalpa in two stages, stopping at Rampur for tne night, as this would only means 5 hours of bus journey per day.
Now Rampur isnt an exciting place but surely there would be a semi-decent guest house and something to sightsee.
I remember that the bus station itself is built nearly on top of Satluj.

Rampur is a fairly large town so you would get decent accomodation.There isnt nothing much to see in Rampur but the view near sutlej is good.Check out this pic that i took in Rampur.

Another question about these HRTC timetables.
Do the buses keep to the timetable more or less or is it just hot air.
I have a feeling that the HRTC site under-reports the number of buses.

Also would I get private buses/ share taxis beyond Rampur?

The HRTC buses for Shimla hills leave from Lakkar Bazaar bus stand. HRTC buses are normally on time. There are plenty of buses for Rampur in morning. No need to pre book. In case you take a morning bus to Rampur you will get convenient connections to Sarhan. Staying at Sarahan is advisible.

Thanks Vasuki for the info about reliablity of HRTC timetables.
I plan to be in Shimla via train so arriving around 11 am.
Then I have two options
a) Spending night in Shimla and then taking Rampur bus early next morning and thence to Sarahan,
b) Taking the superfast bus to rampur at 1314 the same day as I arrive in Shimla. This bus reaches Rampur around 1730 and that is probably too late to catch another bus to Sarahan, as per timetable. That means to stay in Rampur overnight, something not very attractive.

I wonder if there are other buses unlisted in the timetable. eg are there private operators/share taxis
in Rampur-Sarahan stretch?
