That's a pretty ambitious schedule, HB! That's a better average than I used to do with a BMW on north american roads!
Have a great trip!!! |

@crimson: yeah man..
@m2 : basically, the pune-delhi and delhi-pune will be a very fast one,keepin the bike around the 100km/h mark.. but in himalayas,we will take it slowly ![]() @sunilg : well, the road to ahmedabad from delhi is all four lane.. keeping a constant 100km/h can give you an overall avg of 75km/h with ease :-) @wanna be pillions: i will be carrying cramster saddle and tank bags, so the rear seat will be totally empty ![]() |

Looks like a re-run of now defunct Raid De Himalayas to me but then it was a rally.. this one sound pretty ambitious for a stock bike
are you guys racing against each other for fun no service crew or props or pit stops or just race till it splutters, stall and die? |

Now this is can actually be defunct version of RDH besides its got the Himalayas Becon in it to boost the driving functionality of all.... I am sure its not a race but yes for sure it would have been an amazing experience if they could have pit stops and race till they could have lasted and finally stopped till it stalled .... You make me splitter and splatter with the [blush] @ Himalayan_ Beckon : I am sure you gonna have a good time, after all you have got a wonderful itineary lined up for u, dost. I do see a major change in Northern climate this year as its winters bit earlier then usual routine. I am sure its gonna facinate you while crossing over from Jalori Pass. After all its gonna be the longest trip for u, mate ..cheers Happy Planning ahead hope to meet u soon ... soooner FreeBirD |

Once i'm there i will give you the exact situation Himalayas Becon. Dhananjay would be the best source of information but it seems he's on a trip of his own and not online for the last few days. Anybody got info on the ground situation on the road please post it here ? Once i'm there I'll Post the latest info for Himalayas Beacon, because i'll be a few days ahead of you. |
