Thanks for your reply. Hired car/ shared jeep is available at Kiratpur? Any idea about cost?

It not used by anyone for onward journey. People use Chandigarh as the mid or starting point and it will have the best options. I guess the distance is hardly 50 km between Chandigarh and Kiratpur.

Thanks shashank.aggarwal for your reply. So as per your openion, one should take Chandigarh and not Kiratpur for this purpose. As railway option is there, I thought Kiratpur to Mandi would be the best choice.
