Delhi-Kalka-Shimla trains

I've already booked the Shatabdi. Anyway in case the connection doesn't work, I won't seek you to chop your head off, but simply take a taxi, so don't worry

We won't have tons of luggage, so I guess porter won't be needed.

What I wanted to ask is if shared taxis (or minibus) to Shimla will be waiting outside the rail station.

A porter can be useful to lead you to the correct compartment and to the toy train itself. If the time is tight, like 10 minutes, its worth taking a porter for that alone.

Yes, there are plenty of shared taxis just outside the station.
