Dalhousie and Khajjiar during Jan end

I'm planning to go to Dalhousie and Khajjiar with my wife during Jan end-early Feb.
1) What will be the average temparature in Dalhousie and Khajjiar?
2) We are planning to stay in HPTDC hotel Manimahesh and Devdar. How are the Hotel Rooms by comfort factor?
3) Will there be descent no. of tourist at that time or it will be completely deserted?

Dalhousie in Jan ( U might find Snow there ) will be good however the best time to visit there would be from Apr - Sep.
Khajjiar and Chamba are the two places wat you will be able to see there.
You can go straight to Dalhousie and book the hotels then and there also. Near the bus stand you can also get the daily private buses which go to Khajjiar and Chamba daily. You can do both the points on same day.
If you Google for Hotels in dalhousie you will find many hotels along with thier contact nos. Just call up a few of them and you can get a fair idea about the tarrif.
We stayed at Hotel SnowView at around Rs300 per day
However I found Manali to be more happening than Dalhousie.

Stay in Khajjiar and don't stay at the HPTDC hotel. All private hotels will give you good discounts and afternoon onwards you will have all of Khajjiar to yourselves.
