| @flaterik its almost impossible to go and come back from Chandratal in one day, that's like over 30km of walking! There are tents at the lake usually, so why don't you just spend one night there, there is a awesome view in the mornings. The walk from Kunzum la is really nice as it climbs to thew top of the Kunzum mountain affording spectacular views. I estimate it would take longer than the walk from Batal though, as there is inevitably a bunch of snow to impede progress. @voyager 18th u turn? wow you must have one heck of a memory!!

| but as i heard, after 10th sep there are no more tents there, so in this situation i will give up going to chandar tal, i will save one day and maybe just come back to manali earlier, i booked flight back from delhi, weather can be unpredictable so i think it's better to have some more time for coming back |

| You could drive to Chandratal, enroute manali, its only a couple of hours of detour, and if you start from Kaza early enough it should be possible to get to manali the same day. |

| yep i know but still problem is transport, i mean i use only local transport, maybe i'll be lucky and meat sb who's going to chandratal, but for now i don't see possibility visit chandratal and find accomodation same day using only public transport and my legs  |

| Flaterik : Before go Chandertal lake and nearby, check the road and weather condition, Or be sure the tent accommodation is there at Lake, maybe full or No tent there, You can also stay om batal ( 12 km ),Last month i visit Lake, i lucky found free tent accommodation there , jut near lake.

 | just beware check weather condition there is fresh snowfall o Rhtang pass & there after. Just check before you leave whether road is open or not & weather forecast for 7-8 days ahead. |

| It is?? i guess the blog is too cryptic for me . . . I'm sure you could just tell me where you trekked from Chandratal, I did the trek to Baralachala in May, it was awesome, totally snowed out!! |
