Chandar tal and Bara shigri glacier
Hi
I am planning to visit chandar Tal and Bara shigri glacier. Is it possible to reach at both these destination by Car(dont want to trekk) and where i can get accomodation to stay in nights and how many days i should reserve for both these places. Riya Delhi |

Chandar Tal is only assecible by jeep, that to depends on the weather & road conditions. Last october we were able to drive about 2 Kms short of Chander tal (we were in Scorpia & Safari). Altough a gypsy was able to little further, after that road became unmoterable
Bara Shigri glacier is not at all accessible by road. its even tough to trek to Bara Shigri Glacier as i have heard the smow is very Slippery & lots of Crevasse's are there. Only expert mounitainers attempt the same |

Hi! You can see the end of Bara Shigri from the road,between batal and Chota Dara,the ice buried under rocks. To get there you have to walk from Chatru,along the southern side of the river.
