Attention Ladies: Sexual Assault in McLeod Ganj

I dont know what is more horrific the incident, or the posts of some people on this. I am glad that this person has shared this(with the ladies), to be on your guard in India even in a place with a Shanti reputation such as McLeod ganj.

I know like everyone intelligent person on this, we appreciate the heads up, and understands that the aftermath (comments, questions, attitudes, reporting etc) of such an event, can be even more traumatic then the event itself, so your reasons for not the naming the hotel is none of anyone's business.

I am sorry you have to have seen some of these posts, hopefully you haven't, but no matter where we are we still somewhat live in a international victim blaming society.

I am sorry to hear this but these things keep on happening in India. What one needs to do is take a firm stand. The culprit must be punished as bas as possible. You should have gone to police without listening to anyone. Such people are dangerous for society and they should be badly punished. I am angry to hear your story. Anyways...take care

Just by reading the paper you see more horrific rape cases and they always get away with it, even if you report it or not. The police is too corrupt to do anything, and the response from the police is usually exactly like the men at this hotel. Just look at the part st rape case in Kolkata. The only way I can see things changing is for Indian society and womens groups to demand change, which will take time.

Btw, does anyone know the name of the hotel? I could help in getting its license cancelled.

Absolutely. The ongoing concern is that visitors might let their hair down more than usual because of religious principles & teachings.

Unfortunately there can be a large schism in ideals, at times & for example, between Buddhism & certain 'Buddhists'. No different then any other place in the world really.
