Kinnaur & Spiti Valley in September

Do I require to book hotels in advance or we can book on spot?
I would be staying in Shimla, Sarahan, Sangla, Kalpa, Kaza, Keylong and Manali.

Which month you will be traveling? Although you will not need to book rooms in advance, on the spot search (if you are fine for looking one or two nearby properties) will get you the best deal at all these places.

Hi all,

I am planning to visit kinnaur spiti region in the month of Sept this year...My tentative itinerary as follows---

Day 00 : take kalka mail from howrah.

Day 01 : at train.

Day 02 : Reaching kalka, board shivalik express , stay at simla...

Day 03 : start for sarahan...n/s

Day 04 : sarahan to sangla to chitkul...N/S at rakhcham...

Day 05 : kalpa...

Day 06 : kalpa to nako to gue to tabo...

Day 07 : tabo to Dhankar to kaza...

Day 08 : kaza to hikkim komic langza key kibber tashigang kaza...

Day 09 : kaza to Chandratal...

Day 10 : Chandratal to manali (temple visit)...

Day 11 : manali to manikaran ...kasol N/S...

Day 12 : kasol to Kalka...take train

Day 13 : At train

Day 14 : Howrah..

I have some doubts about the itinerary...please help me out...

1) According to the itinerary we need to book a cab for 10days...What are the recent rates for Innova/Scorpio/Tata Sumo...

2 ) I am a bit confused about day 6 & day 8 ...Can we cover all those places?

3) Where to stay at Tabo & Rakcham? As heard that accommodations are limited there,we are 12 to 14 in nos, so need to prebook rooms in those places...Contact nos of hotels or homestays will be of much help...

4) Is the itinerary looks very hectic? If yes what changes can be made to it?

5) Can you guys recommend some budget hotels around Rs-1000/- to 1500/- dbl bed room in those different places ...

6) What to see at sarahan except the temple & at Kalpa?

7)Any contacts no of tents at chandratal...I have Jamaica's no but it's coming switched off...

8)Any hotel contacts at kasol too?

9)Availability of Ph tower in all those places...which connection is best?
