Thanks a lot uttam, seems like your yulla kanda experience went cloudy, any ideas about the distance of rora kanda and yulla kanda, around 2-3 hours, also how does one gets to urni or yulla from the road any transportation ?!
Listigarang question Forwarded to AndreasW or anyone with knowledge on this section of kinnaur,
+ How far is the pass from yulla kanda..?

Yes, when i went there it was raining and cloudy. Rora kanda is less than an hour away from the lake temple. Bus to Urni initiates from Tapri at 8.30 in the morning and takes about 45 minutes to an hour to reach Urni. When i went there road was till urni village; road construction work was in full swing between Urni and Yulla. It took me one hour on foot to reach Yulla from Urni. If the road is completed, bus will ply till Yulla.
Incase, you have your own conveyance, it can be reached through old HTR via Meru village if you are coming from Peo/Kalpa or via Choling on NH-22.
Hope it helps!

Hi Lucid,
it's approx. 800m steep ascent over boulders from Yulla kanda to Listigarang pass. Look this view from our Kashang pass base camp:

Try it! But I think it's to early in March...
Khasyan pasture should be accessible....

I lost one of the memory card of my camera during the trek, hence, lost some valuable photos also. Fortunately the other memory card had some photos of the Tirung valley.

Hello thanks andreas, i will not make a proper report, i never have(maybe i should start)
What i will promise is bringing pictures
I just saw the pictures..thanks for the links..appreciate a lot,
Just 1 more question..do we indians need an ILP to reach charang ? I suppose its NO considering my investigations from last time and after speaking to the ITBP personals in kumaon..i heard that one does not need any ILP's if visiting a habituated village..the permit is required after crossing that last village.
More insight please..

Oh, I overlooked kunnu in your itinerary.
Hopefully, we'll meet somewhere in Kinnaur.
Yes, Indians do not need any kind of permit to visit Kunnu-Charang . Once i was told by S.P Kinnaur that permit is not required for Indians even for Kinner-kailash Parikarma. However, some IMikers have reported that they faced harassment from ITBP personnels who were demanding for permit issued from office of D.C. When i went there no one bothered to ask me anything.
But do carry any valid document like D.L/Pan card/any other I.card etc for your identity proof. You may be asked by I.T.B.P personnels.
